Another good indicator that the Fredericksburg & Gillespie county Economy is doing well is that the Sales Tax receipt for both the county and the city remain very strong for 2011. In fact many of the months this year have been all time highs , this despite the fact that we did not have many wild flowers for the spring tourist industry and the current drought has been hurting the agricultural receipts for Gillespie County Farms and Ranchers hard this year.
