Light the Night Christmas Parade
Mark your calendars for Friday December 2, 2022 for our annual Light the Night Christmas Parade! Parade starts at 6:30 and runs along Main Street between Washington Street and Edison Street.
After the parade head on over to Marktplatz for Afterglow till 9 PM. This free event features diverse foods, local wines, holiday shopping and family entertainment!
Santa and Mrs. Claus will also make an appearance! Get your FREE photo taken with Santa in his sleigh from 8-10pm.
Fredericksburg Christmas Tree Lighting
November 22, 2022 – January 6, 2023, nightly at 6 p.m.
In partnership with the City of Fredericksburg, the Fredericksburg Convention & Visitor Bureau will celebrate Weihnachtszeit or the Christmas season with Fredericksburg’s Christmas Nights of Lights, a nightly holiday lighting of Marktplatz. All are invited to enjoy a 10-minute audio presentation at 6 p.m. featuring history, holiday carols and concluding with the lighting countdown. Holiday music will begin at 5 p.m. and conclude at 6:30 p.m. each evening.
