Light the Night Christmas Parade
Mark your calendars for Friday December 6, 2019 for our annual Light the Night Christmas Parade! Parade starts at 6:30 and runs along Main Street between Washington Street and Edison Street.
After the parade head on over to Marktplatz for Afterglow till 9 PM. This free event features diverse foods, local wines, holiday shopping and family entertainment!
Santa and Mrs. Claus will also make an appearance! Get your FREE photo taken with Santa in his sleigh from 8-10pm.
Fredericksburg Christmas Tree Lighting
Grab your jacket and mittens and head on over to Market Platz for the annual Fredericksburg Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony! Join your friends and family for this fun filled tradition of lighting our community tree, and Market Platz. Tree Lighting will be held Friday, November 29, 2019 from 5:30 to 7:30 at Marktplatz. The event is FREE!
You can also see our traditional German Christmas Pyramid, imported directly from Germany (piece by piece) it stands 26 feet tall and is the only one of its kind in the United States!
Beginning at 5:30 pm in front of the Vereins Kirche there will be holiday music, and other family friendly activities. Countdown to the lighting of the tree will take place at 6:30 and music will continue to set the mood till 7:30pm.
If you are wishing for something special this Christmas, Santa will make an appearance as well! He will greet guest in the Oktoberfest Halle with free cookies, hot chocolate and bottled water! Bring your phones/cameras for FREE pictures with Santa, and there will also be a holiday selfie station set up. In case of inclement weather, all activities will be relocated under the Adelsverein Halle at Marktplatz.
