Fair Association County Events Fair Queens

The Gillespie County Fair is the oldest, continuous County Fair in Texas! The fair is held each August at the Gillespie County Fair Grounds where visitors can enjoy live music, crowning of the Fair Queen, Parimutuel horse races, stock show and find out who grew the biggest pumpkin!

The 136th Gillespie County Fair will run from August 22, 2024 to August 25, 2024. The fair festivities kick off with a parade beginning Thursday, August 22 around 10 am. The parade route begins at Main and Adams, turns east onto Main down to Washington, then doubles back all the way down to Bowie.
