Owner and Chef “James Welliver graduated from Fredericksburg High School and worked around the city at various restaurants providing him with a tremendous training background for his culinary skills. He graduated from the famous New England Culinary Institute in Vermont. Chef James later did his internship at Restaurant Daniel, which is considered to be one of the most prestigious restaurants in New York City. He also continued to hone his skills at the upscale restaurant Culin Ariane in Mont Clair, New Jersey in various capacities. Chef James is now married with a young son. He bought the Buffalo Nickel Bar and Grill in 2008 where he continues to bring his passion, creativity and experience to the mouth-watering dishes available at the Buffalo Nickel Bar and Grill.”
